Hello. My name is DawnMarie Hayes. I am a novelist whose brilliance lays dormant while in wait for the perfect idea. It is only through the needs of flyers, snappy ads, informational newsletters, and humble pleas for funding, including grants, that my passion of writing has found an outlet this past twenty years.

My heart aligns deeply with non-profit and "needy" organizations. I spent several years administrating a mobile health fair program servicing all of Ohio and parts of Kentucky and Indiana. This position gave room for me to stretch my writing muscles through the creation of training, education, and advertising materials and funding requests. A local elementary school stretched me in the weekly creation of exciting notices, upcoming happenings, and informational needs. Here I honed my grant writing, support and funding pleas, and public communication skills.

Joining the team at Ginkgo Healthcare allows me to combine my passion for writing and healthcare. Healthy living, through diet, activity, and the elusive "slow down" has been an eight-year journey in the making. I am excited about using my skills in finding pertinent health information and my professionally developed writing to assist you in your professional goals.

Hi. Thanks for stopping by to learn a little more about me and Ginkgo. My first official healthcare client was in 1998, but I've been interested in (some might say obsessed with) medicine and healthcare since I was old enough to read. I used to pore over my mom's nursing texts, fascinated by all of the rare diseases they held within. My mom, frustrated with me asking constant questions about whether she thought I could get each disease, tried to hide her books, but I always found them. So I think it's fair to say my fledgling career in healthcare began in the '70s, along with my writing career. (You should read the neighborhood newspaper I published, but don't hold the unoriginal "Kids' Tribune" title against me. I was eight.)

So how did I end up here? After years of working closely with a long list of healthcare clients, including academic medical centers, community hospitals, medical associations, health technology & health insurance companies, long-term care organizations (and even pet health companies), I saw an unmet need in the industry and started Ginkgo Healthcare. And soon after, I developed a fantastic team that can do just about anything. (Really. You should see what our programmers can do!) So, whether you want to create or update your quality site, add or improve content, educate patients and the community, or work to improve patient satisfaction, you can count on us. Healthcare is in my blood, and customer service and beating deadlines is something I take great pride in.
